Well, the bags have yet to be packed and we leave in just 9 hours for a very long flight to Munich. Otto is going to meet his great grandma, Omi for the first time. Otto is named after her late husband, Otto Richter. We are traveling with Andrew's parents, Kathee and Klaus. Klaus is Omi's only son. While in Munich we will stay at an apartment in the Marienplatz near the Glockenspiel and be hosted by Klaus' cousins Max and Crystal and their families. We are very excited! So much so, that Otto is the only one packing. Well, I'd better go join him. We'll have lots to share when we return.

Baby Smuggles Rare Lion into Munich, Germany

A Nighttime Routine
Kerry often talks about routines. One night, using the night-vision feature of my video camera, I discovered her "routine" with Otto. It seemed nearly the opposite of the calming behavior she implores me to use before bedtime. Of course, she placed him in his crib and he fell quickly and quietly right to sleep!

The Haircut
I cut Otto's hair on Saturday afternoon because it was starting to hang in his eyes and over his ears. I just grabbed a pair of scissors and snip, snip, snip. As you can see I don't know how to cut hair AT ALL and Otto looks ridiculous, but I still think he's super cute anyway!Saturday, February 2, 2008
